Hey Folks, I have received inquiries from various folks asking Dr. Molecules, PhD (that’s me) about tips on how to maintain a younger looking skin as we grow older. The Dr. Molecules’ Personal Take: Maintaining a younger looking skin is not all about the use of more and more skincare products or having one or more plastic surgeries-but it may be 20% dependent on your family (good or bad) genes but 80% may depend on how you treat your skin from the very young age.
Caution: The biggest culprit for aging skin is the sun and its harmful UVA and UVB Ultraviolet rays!
Simply put: the UVA sun-rays penetrate deep in your skin and can create deep and chronic skin wrinkles; the UVB sun-rays are associated with skin burning and redness. Exposure to both UVA and UVB rays can lead to skin cancer and premature skin aging!
The Doctor Molecules™ tips:
1) Use a good quality cream moisturizer (skin hydration is King!)
2) also daily use a “BROAD SPECTRUM” or else called “FULL SPECTRUM” sunscreen with SPF of 30 or higher. Careful! Not all sunscreens have this dual (UVA and UVB) protection. In our family, we use Broad Spectrum sunscreens with SPF of 45…
3) you also need to use sun-safe clothing, wide hats and sunglasses. Also consider using a UV window film for your home.
Folks, let us stay safe, healthy and beautiful. We can do it™!
